Job summary

Smartscape Connected Lighting Systems, a Brisbane-based company with over 25 years of experience, is seeking an Internal Sales Estimator to join the Albion team. You will interpret electrical drawings, prepare quotations and develop lighting solutions, working with engineers, contractors and consultants.

The role emphasizes technical proficiency, problem solving, ownership of projects and collaboration with sales and technical teams, with an office-based setting and typical hours.

Qualifications

• Strong technical mindset and ability to learn quickly.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings, specifications or project documentation.
• Ability to evaluate options and develop practical solutions.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management.
• Clear communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Initiative and sound judgement.
• Experience in electrical wholesale, internal sales or related electrical industry background.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing electrical drawings, lighting layouts and technical specifications
• Preparing material take-offs, equipment selections and project quotations
• Developing suitable lighting, lighting control and emergency lighting solutions
• Liaising with electrical contractors, wholesalers, engineers and consultants to clarify project requirements
• Managing multiple RFQs and meeting tender deadlines
• Following up quotations and identifying opportunities to offer alternative or additional solutions
• Working closely with our sales and technical teams
