Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited is seeking a Light Vehicle Fitter for the Thunderbox operation. The role is a FIFO position from Perth on an 8 days on / 6 days off pattern, focusing on maintaining light vehicles and allied equipment to maximise up‑time between planned maintenance.

Working in the Mobile Maintenance Team, you’ll handle breakdowns, PMs and safety tasks, organise required permits, and support apprentices. Five weeks annual leave is included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 yrs mining experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic
• Exposure to Toyota vehicles and light fleet equipment
• Valid Australian Driver's Licence is required

Responsibilities

• Maintain light vehicles and ancillary equipment to minimise downtime
• Respond to breakdowns, follow-up work and PMs in a safe, timely manner
• Organise permits (isolations, confined space, hot work) as required
• Contribute to safety investigations and root cause analysis
• Support apprentices during annual performance reviews
