Job summary

KONE is seeking a skilled Maintenance Troubleshooter for our Newcastle service team. You will diagnose and resolve complex lift and escalator faults, provide on-site support, and share technical knowledge with technicians across Newcastle, Central Coast and Northern NSW.

You will travel to assist with critical breakdowns, maintain safety standards, and build strong customer relationships while upholding KONE’s quality commitments. Previous lift industry experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Lift industry experience is required.
• Extensive fault diagnosis and resolution skills for lifts/escalators.
• Experience managing critical breakdowns and expectations with stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills and customer-focused approach.
• Commitment to safety and high quality of work.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to maintenance team by diagnosing and resolving complex equipment issues.
• Perform first visits and assessments of new equipment as required by supervisors or sales teams.
• Support resolution of complex call-outs with remote assistance and onsite support.
• Identify root causes and explain effective solutions to improve technician capability.
• Ensure all activities comply with KONE policies, health, safety and quality standards.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional service.
