Job summary

Mercy Health in Young, NSW is seeking a Casual Lifestyle Assistant to support wellbeing programs for residents at Mercy Place Mount St Joseph’s. You will assist with activity delivery, support the Lifestyle Coordinator, and work closely with residents to implement lifestyle plans.

The role focuses on compassionate, patient-centred care, with emphasis on individual needs, documentation and teamwork within a supportive aged-care setting.

Qualifications

• Police check required.
• NDIS eligibility or related verification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of recreational and social programs that enhance residents’ wellbeing.
• Support the Lifestyle Coordinator with program planning and orientation of new team members.
• Work individually with residents in line with their lifestyle plans and document progress accurately.
• Ensure programs meet residents’ needs and accreditation standards.
• Engage residents in meaningful activities and encourage community involvement.
• Demonstrate understanding of cognitive, social and spiritual needs of residents and their families.
