Job summary

Mercy Place Shepparton is a 96-bed residential aged care facility seeking a part-time Lifestyle Assistant to design and deliver resident-centred programs, Monday to Friday. You will promote a resident-focused approach and help create a positive, vibrant environment for residents.

Applicants should have Certificate IV Lifestyle & Leisure, be prepared to provide Police/WWC checks and influenza vaccination proof, and ideally have 12 months’ aged care experience in lifestyle or personal care.

Qualifications

• Evidence of current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
• Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status.
• Certificate IV Lifestyle & Leisure.
• Minimum of 12 months experience in aged care in lifestyle or personal care (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Create, deliver and evaluate individual and group lifestyle programs that are resident focused and support resident independence, creativity and dignity.
• Promote a resident-focused approach in all activities and behaviours.
• Create and promote an environment that is positive, vibrant, fun, spontaneous and meaningful for residents.
