Job summary

Mercy Place Shepparton is seeking a Lifestyle Assistant to develop and deliver resident‑focused lifestyle programs, supporting independence and dignity in a 96-bed aged care setting.

You will promote a resident‑centred approach, create a positive environment, and work with a supportive team to enhance resident wellbeing. A minimum of 12 months aged care experience is desirable, with required checks and vaccination status. This role is part-time, 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills.
• Compassionate, flexible and positive approach to resident care.
• Minimum 12 months experience in aged care in a lifestyle or personal care role is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Creation, delivery and evaluation of both individual and group lifestyle programs that are resident focused, and support resident independence, creativity and dignity.
• Promotion of a resident focused approach in all activities and behaviours.
• Creates and promotes an environment that is positive, vibrant, fun, spontaneous and filled with meaning for the resident.
