Job summary

Churches of Christ in Queensland is seeking a compassionate Lifestyle Assistant to support planning, delivery and coordination of wellbeing programs for residents in Warwick Aged Care. You will promote social connection, independence and enjoyment through activities.

This permanent part-time role (3 days per week) sits in a values-driven not-for-profit organisation offering training, generous leave and employee benefits, with opportunities to grow in a resident-centred environment.

Qualifications

Experience supporting lifestyle, leisure, wellbeing or recreational programs in aged care or similar settings.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with residents.
First Aid and CPR certification (desirable).
Police Check current or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

Assist planning, coordination and delivery of lifestyle and wellbeing programs for residents.

About The Role

In this rewarding role, you will support the planning, coordination and delivery of engaging lifestyle and wellbeing programs that promote social connection, independence and enjoyment for our residents. You will also play an active role in encouraging and assisting residents to participate in activities that enhance their wellbeing, independence and quality of life.

About You

You are a compassionate and skilled Lifestyle Assistant who thrives in a collaborative, resident-focused environment. You bring a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and a genuine passion for improving the lives of older Australians.

You Will Bring

Experience supporting lifestyle, leisure, wellbeing or recreational programs, preferably within aged care, community services, disability support or a similar environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with residents
Certificate III in Aged Care or a relevant qualification (desirable)
First Aid and CPR certification (desirable)
Currently holds, or willing to obtain a current Police Check
Basic computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Outlook, online systems and electronic documentation.
Hold valid Australian Work Rights – Unfortunately we are not currently able to sponsor
