Job summary

Anglicare Southern Queensland is seeking a casual Lifestyle Assistant to support planning, delivery and evaluation of lifestyle activities for clients in their home and community settings. The role requires driving a 10-seater bus/van for client pickups and drop-offs within the Metro North Brisbane area.

You’ll join a values-driven, inclusive team committed to quality care and development. Mandatory qualifications include a Certificate IV in Leisure and Health, First Aid/CPR, and a valid driver

Qualifications

• Proven background in planning, conducting, and evaluating activity programs
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• National Police Certificate or NDIS clearance
• Current driver licence and own vehicle

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate lifestyle activities for clients
• Coordinate pickup/drop-off using a 10-seater bus/van in the Metro North Brisbane region
• Collaborate with staff, management and clients in a professional and friendly manner
• Commit to ongoing quality improvement and professional development
• Support clients across aged care, community and disability sectors to improve quality of life

Anglicare’sHome and Communityteam provide support and services that enable our clients to maintain their independence - living happily and healthily within their own homes.

We have an opportunity for a casualLifestyle Assistantto join our awesome team. Every Friday required too work, with additional days when required to cover annual/sick leave.

The Lifestyle Assistant’s primary responsibility is to assist with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities and lifestyle programs that enable clients to participate in a variety of experiences to improve their quality of life. We are looking for an individual who has:

• Proven background in planning, conducting, and evaluating activity and diversional therapy programs
• Confidence in driving a 10 seater bus/van, with strong knowledge of Metro North Brisbane and surrounding areas for client pickups and drop-offs
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with a variety of people including staff, management and clients in a professional and friendly manner
• Commitment to ongoing quality improvement and professional development of the service and yourself
• Dedication to working within the Aged Care, Community and Disability sectors to improve and enhance the lives of clients
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment and to manage your own workload

Mandatory qualifications/requirements:

• A Certificate IV in Leisure and Health
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• A current National Police Certificate OR NDIS Clearance/Yellow Card
• Current Driver Licence and your own reliable vehicle
