Job summary

Highfields Manor in Port Macquarie is seeking a Lifestyle Assistant to join our compassionate team. You will help create meaningful, enjoyable experiences for residents and support a varied program of activities and social events.

The role involves leading or supporting group activities, one-on-one engagement, and assisting with outings and celebrations to keep residents active, connected and involved in daily life.

Responsibilities

• Support group activities such as bingo, exercise, crafts, games, music and karaoke.
• Spend one-on-one time with residents and support individual interests.
• Help organise and participate in bus outings, events and celebrations.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities and socialise with others.
• Support residents to stay connected with family, friends and the community.
• Assist with setting up and packing away activities.
• Create a fun, welcoming and inclusive environment.

Highfields Manor is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and creative Lifestyle Assistant to join our team and help create meaningful and enjoyable experiences for our residents.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with older people and helping them remain connected, active and engaged in daily life.

About the Role

As a Lifestyle Assistant, you will work alongside our Lifestyle team to support a varied program of activities and social experiences for our residents.

Your day may include:

• Supporting group activities such as bingo, exercise, crafts, games, music and karaoke
• Spending one‑on‑one time with residents and supporting individual interests
• Helping organise and participate in bus outings, special events and celebrations
• Encouraging residents to participate in activities and socialise with others
• Supporting residents to maintain connections with family, friends and the community
• Assisting with setting up and packing away activities
• Helping create a fun, welcoming and inclusive environment
• Getting to know our residents and understanding their individual interests, stories and preferences
• Working as part of a supportive Lifestyle and care team

About You

We are looking for someone who is:
