Job summary

Palm Lake Care Bargara is seeking a Lifestyle Assistant to join our team on a part-time permanent basis, with Friday 8am to 4pm and Saturday 10am to 2pm shifts. You’ll work closely with the Clinical Manager and Lifestyle Team Leader to deliver a diverse range of activities that enrich residents’ lives and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care/IS required or equivalent.
• Certificate IV in Leisure and Health preferred or in progress.
• Current National Police Check required.
• Experience delivering resident activities and engagement.
• Knowledge of AN-ACC framework is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a diverse range of individual and group activities for residents.
• Work closely with Clinical Manager and Lifestyle Team Leader.
• Promote dignity, independence and quality of life for residents.

Position Details

Palm Lake Care Bargara is seeking a Lifestyle Assistant to join our team on a Part Time permanentbasis, working the below shifts per week.

Shifts Available (non negotiable)

Friday 8am to 4pm and Saturday 10am to 2pm.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Clinical Manager and Lifestyle Team Leader to deliver a diverse range of individual and group activities that enrich the lives of our residents. You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team, focused on continual improvement and resident wellbeing. Above all, your work will promote dignity, independence, and quality of life for those in our care.

What We’re Looking For:

To thrive in this role, you will need:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support (or equivalent)
• A current National Police Check
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC framework
• Knowledge of Autumn Care (highly regarded but not essential)
• Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (or working towards)
• Enthusiasm and creativity to enrich the lives of our residents
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• A compassionate approach and empathy for older people and their families
