Job summary

Belgravia Leisure is hiring experienced lifeguards at Oak Park Sports and Aquatic Centre in Oak Park, VIC. We seek casual, energetic and reliable individuals to oversee day-to-day pool operations, ensure safety and provide friendly service.

Applicants should hold current First Aid, CPR, Pool Lifeguard and Police/Working with Children checks, be able to work mornings, evenings and weekends, and enjoy helping our members and visitors have a safe, enjoyable experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Understanding of OHS and public safety practices in a pool facility.
• Able to work mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Current First Aid (Level 2) and CPR certification.
• National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate; Pool Operations Certificate is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day pool operations to keep the facility safe and welcoming.
• Maintain safety around the water and respond to incidents.
• Communicate effectively with diverse ages and abilities, including children.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver excellent member experiences.

The Role

We are currently looking for anexperienced, enthusiastic, reliable and friendlyLifeguardsto join the team on acasualbasis. Our lifeguards will be responsible for the Day to Day Pool Operations within our facility and ensure that all areas both in and surrounding our pools is a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.

You will have a passion for safety around the water. You should be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun. You will need outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensure our patrons safely enjoy their visit every time and with a flair for working with children.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs.
