Job summary

Belgravia Leisure in Bathurst, NSW, is seeking an experienced lifeguard to join our team on a casual basis. You will oversee day-to-day pool operations and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all patrons.

The role requires a passion for water safety, strong communication skills, and a friendly, customer-service focus to help guests enjoy their visit. A current Pool Lifeguard Certificate, First Aid, CPR, and police checks are preferred; training and development opportunities are available

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of OHS and public safety in a pool facility.
• Availability to work mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate is required.
• First Aid (Level 2) and CPR certification are required.
• Working with Children Check (Employee Status) and National Police Check are needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day pool operations and maintain a safe environment around our pools.

The Role

We are currently looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, reliable and friendly lifeguard to join the team on a casual basis. Our lifeguards will be responsible for the day to day pool operations within our facility and ensure that all areas both in and surrounding our pools is a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.

You will have a passion for safetyaround the water. You should be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun. You will need outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensureour patrons safely enjoy their visit every time.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs.

Skills & Attributes:

• An understanding of OHS and public safety applications within your facility
• Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a strong and valuable part of the team
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Previous experience and success in a comparable role is not essential but highly regarded
• Current Pool Operations Certificateis not essential but highly regarded
• Current First Aid (Level 2)
• Current CPR Certificate
