Job summary

YMCA Victoria in Newstead is seeking an operations (lifeguard) team leader to oversee day-to-day pool operations, recruit and train staff, and schedule shifts.

You will support plant room operations, ensure aquatic safety protocols, manage incident reporting, and contribute to monthly reporting and invoicing.

This is a part-time role with an hourly rate up to $33.87 plus super, offering flexible hours and opportunities to develop leadership within a community-focused organisation.

Qualifications

• Strong admin skills and attention to detail with leadership experience.
• Ability to coordinate rostering and staff development.
• Experience in lifeguard or duty manager roles and commitment to regular shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operations/lifeguard team and support the Operations Coordinator.
• Roster and manage staff payments.
• Produce end-of-month reporting and invoicing.
• Coordinate with other centre leaders to ensure smooth operations.
