Job summary

YMCA Victoria is seeking an operations (lifeguard) team leader for Newstead Outdoor Pool. You will oversee the lifeguard team, recruit, train, and schedule staff while supporting plant room operations and contractor systems to uphold aquatic safety protocols.

Responsibilities include incident reporting, audits, and end-of-month invoicing. The role requires strong admin skills and prior duty manager or lifeguard experience, with regular rostered hours including peak season.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Lifeguard certificate required.
• Ability to lead a small team and manage rostering.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the lifeguard team at Newstead Pool.
• Roster and pay staff; oversee end-of-month reporting and invoicing.
• Coordinate with Centre leaders to ensure safety and operations.
• Assist Operations Coordinator in team development and incident reporting.
