Job summary

Willis Towers Watson plc is seeking a Claims Specialist in Melbourne to advocate for clients on life insurance claims, including death, TPD, income protection, and trauma. You will provide technical claims advice, manage end-to-end processes with insurers, and negotiate outcomes for complex claims, collaborating with health & benefits teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in life insurance claims management in Australia.
• Strong knowledge of group life, TPD and income protection.
• Experience negotiating claim outcomes and managing disputed or complex claims.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of group life, TPD and salary continuance claims for allocated clients.
• Act as the key claims advocate between clients, claimants and insurers and progress claims timely.
• Review policy wording and eligibility to advise on coverage and strategy.
• Negotiate with insurers to resolve declined or disputed claims.
• Provide guidance to Claims Administrators and Relationship Managers on queries and processes.
• Communicate decisions clearly to clients and support difficult conversations.
