Job summary

Vanguard Logistics Services is seeking an experienced Licensed Customs Broker for a temporary, up-to-12-month contract in the Sydney area. The role supports import/export clearance, documentation accuracy, and regulatory compliance across air and sea shipments.

Immediate start with possibility to base in Mascot, Brisbane or Perth depending on experience. The successful candidate will hold a current Australian Customs Broker Licence with CPD points and an AEP accreditation, and will use CW1 and

Qualifications

Must hold Current Customs Broker Licence (Australia) with CPD points.
Must hold AEP accreditation with DAFF.
Strong knowledge of Australian Customs Act, Tariff Act and INCOTERMS.

Responsibilities

Prepare and lodge customs declarations for import/export shipments.
Liaise with customs authorities, freight forwarders, shippers and clients for timely clearance.
Calculate and manage duties, taxes and other charges.
Review invoices and shipping docs for accuracy and compliance.
Advise clients on tariff classifications and rules of origin.
Manage bond and security documentation as required.
Resolve customs issues to facilitate cargo movement.
Maintain detailed records of all transactions.
Keep up to date with changes to customs legislation and trade agreements.
