Job summary

The Hills Shire Council is offering a 1-year traineeship in Library and Information Services at Castle Hill Library. Earn while you learn, gaining on-the-job experience and studying a Cert IV in Library and Information Services.

Successful candidates will complete a full-time traineeship with mentoring, while developing skills in information services, transactions, enquiries and customer support within a supportive, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Deliver accurate information and resolve customer enquiries face to face and by phone.
• Provide support across library transactions and daily operations.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and equality in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate information and resolve customer enquiries face to face and by phone
• Effectively and efficiently process a range of transactions and payments for both Council and Library
• Undertake day-to-day operations in any of Council’s library as rostered
• Other duties as specified by Supervisor/ Manager
