Job summary

Sunshine Coast Council in Nambour is seeking a Team Leader Library Hub to lead a library hub, deliver high-quality services, and drive community impact within the Community Strengthening Department. You will lead a dedicated team, recruit and coach staff, and shape future library programs through collaboration across the network.

You will hold a LIS degree, bring substantial public library experience, and demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in libraries and information studies or a related discipline.
• Substantial experience in public library services or a similar environment.
• Proven leadership qualities and ability to develop high-performing teams.
• Experience planning, coordinating and evaluating library services, programs and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of high-quality library services and exceptional customer experiences.
• Manage and develop a capable team through recruitment, coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
• Collaborate across the library network to drive service improvements, innovation and strategic outcomes.
