Mornington Peninsula Shire, Victoria, Australia, seeks a strategic Team Leader – Libraries to lead a dynamic library network. You will guide staff and volunteers, shape programs, and ensure services meet community needs with an emphasis on inclusion and accessibility.

Reporting to the Manager Community Services, you will drive service improvement, manage budgets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. A relevant tertiary qualification and local government/library experience are desirable.

Qualifications

• We are seeking a strategic, inclusive leader to guide a high-performing library workforce.
• Proven ability to develop plans, manage budgets, projects and resources.
• Strong partnerships with community members, partners and internal teams.
• Experience with accessible and inclusive service delivery in the public sector.
• Knowledge of governance, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Public libraries or local government experience is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic leadership for a contemporary library service across the peninsula.
• Lead strategic plans, policies and service initiatives aligned with Council priorities.
• Ensure library services, programs and spaces are accessible and customer-focused.
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement and evidence-based planning.
• Lead and develop employees and volunteers with accountability and inclusion.
• Manage plans, budgets, projects and resources and build stakeholder relationships.
