The Librarian - Customer Experience delivers exceptional and compassionate service that reflects the Town's values and strategic directions. Through creativity and adaptability, and by demonstrating high emotional intelligence, the position ensures the library remains a dynamic hub for the community.

What you'll need to succeed

• Deliver exceptional, compassionate, and inclusive customer service, responding promptly and professionally while actively listening and meeting diverse community needs.
• Apply contemporary library practices and technologies, including assisting with digital access, troubleshooting, providing readers' advisory, and connecting people with information, ideas, and learning.
• Demonstrate high emotional and situational intelligence, especially when communicating with the community, supporting team culture, and de-escalating difficult interactions.
• Work collaboratively and cross functionally, contributing to consistent service delivery, positive workplace culture, and shared organisational goals.
• Show strong organisational, problem solving, and administrative skills, including the ability to prioritise effectively, manage your own workload, and support continuous improvement.

The benefits of working for us

$52.88 per hour (including 25% casual loading), plus superannuation
