Job summary

The City of Parramatta is seeking a casual Library Assistant to provide outstanding customer service and support the library team in delivering high-quality services across multiple branches. This role involves assisting with community programs, collaborating with staff, and ensuring a welcoming experience for visitors.

Open seven days at some locations, with a base rate of AU$38.79 per hour plus 25% casual loading and 12% superannuation.

• HSC certificate or equivalent relevant experience.

About the role

This positionis responsible forproviding positive customer experiences and supporting the library teamsto ensure the smooth running of library services. City of Parramatta Council’s library services are delivered across a network of 7 libraries including Parramatta Library at PHIVE.

Libraries are open across a wide spread of hours including 7- days a week at some site.

About you

The successful candidate is someone who brings:

• Demonstrated verbal communication, literacy, and numeracy skills.
• Demonstrated customer service skills, with exceptional ability to deliver memorable experiences.
• Proven ability to work co-operatively as part of the team in a customer service environment.
• Well-developed PC literacy, including skills with mobile technologies and basic technology trouble shooting skills
