Job summary

EML is seeking a Liability Specialist in Melbourne to assess liability on workers' compensation and related claims. This role focuses on applying legislation and guidelines, with emphasis on complex or sensitive cases and clear documentation.

You will work in a supportive team, with hybrid arrangements and opportunities to grow your expertise in personal injury claims management. Strong empathy and communication are essential to navigate difficult conversations and achieve fair outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience assessing and determining liability in workers' compensation or insurance settings is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation, regulations and guidelines; apply to complex claims.
• Experience managing complex or sensitive claims, including psychological injuries or fatalities, is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assess all aspects of liability on allocated claims per legislation, guidelines, and limits.
• Meet required time frames and keep stakeholders informed of progress.
• Proactively manage determinations for complex claims with clear documentation.
• Maintain accuracy of claim determination data in internal systems.

Do you have…Experience assessing and determining liability in workers compensation claims is highly regarded.
