EML, Australia’s largest specialist in personal injury claims management, seeks a Technical & Injury Management Specialist in Sydney. The role focuses on guiding claims teams, managing complex injuries, and delivering outcomes for workers and employers. Hybrid work is available with optional remote days.

Qualifications

• Strong technical experience within the NSW workers compensation scheme.
• Experience in injury management within a fast-paced workers compensation environment.
• Experience with long-term and litigated claims.
• Experience coaching, mentoring or providing technical support to others.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and provide practical, considered advice.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to claims teams on complex claims and legislative requirements.
• Develop and implement proactive injury management strategies.
• Provide specialist coaching and one-on-one support to claims team members.
• Support teams with complex work capacity, treatment and long-term claim decisions.
• Review claims management practices and identify emerging trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Work with Team Leaders to develop strategies that support team performance and outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
