Job summary

MSS Security is seeking a Level 5 Security Officer to join our team at a high-profile data centre in Melbourne. The role offers sponsorship for candidates who do not yet hold a Positive Vetting clearance and onsite parking after clearance is obtained.

Responsibilities include patrolling, access control, CCTV monitoring, customer service, and rapid response to incidents. Candidates must be an Australian citizen with Victoria security credentials and a willingness to obtain required certificates.

Qualifications

• Role requires active or eligible Positive Vetting clearance and Australian citizenship.
• Current Victorian Security Licence is mandatory.
• First Aid & CPR certificates are required or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Conduct foot patrols to keep the site secure and safe.
• Monitor and control access to the premises for authorised persons only.
• Oversee CCTV to detect and respond to threats.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist visitors.
• Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies.

About the role

MSS Security is seeking Security Officers who hold or are eligible for a Positing Vetting Clearance to join our team in Melbourne. We have positions available at a high-profile data centre, with sponsorship available for candidates who do not yet hold a clearance.

Onsite parking is available once clearance is obtained and the successful candidate is placed at the new site, with the exception of City-based sites.

Employees holding a Positive Vetting Clearance will receive a competitive allowance of up to $20,000 per year.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Conducting foot patrols, ensuring people are safe and the building is secure.
• Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring only authorised individuals enter.
• Oversee CCTV systems to detect and respond to security threats.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist visitors with inquiries.
• Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents or emergencies.

Requirements:

• Must be an Australian Citizen.
• Hold a current AGSVA Positive Vetting Clearance or willing to obtain.
• Valid Victorian Security Licence.
• Valid Victorian Drivers Licence.
• Valid First Aid & CPR Certificates or willing to obtain.
• 24/7 Availability to work a rotating roster.
• Ability to walk up to 15,000 steps per shift as part of routine patrols.
• Must be able to supply background information including (but not limited to) referees, past addresses, overseas travel, education etc.
