Job summary

MSS Security Pty Ltd is seeking a Security Site Lead to oversee the daily operations of security services at a Data Centre located in Melbourne. A Positive Vetting clearance is required, with sponsorship available for the clearance process.

The role includes leading a team of up to 15 security officers, managing performance, and ensuring client requirements are met. An annual allowance of up to $20,000 is offered for those who hold or obtain PV clearance.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a security team leader, supervisory or managerial role.
• Prior data centre experience is highly regarded.
• Must be an Australian Citizen.
• Hold or willing to obtain a Positive Vetting clearance (sponsorship available).
• Must be able to supply background information including referees, past addresses, overseas travel, education etc.
• Valid Victorian Security Licence.
• Master Licence Number: 409-987-30S.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and mentor a team of up to 15 security officers, managing performance, attendance and presentation.
• Oversee daily security operations, ensuring site procedures and client requirements are upheld.
• Conduct site inspections and toolbox briefings to ensure security officers maintain licences and training.
• Respond to and manage security incidents and emergencies, ensuring escalation and documentation.
• Manage shift drops and site coverage.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, responding promptly to service requests.

About the role

Duties include but are not limited to

• Site compliance: Conduct site inspections and toolbox briefings to ensure security officers maintain required licences and training.
• Incident management: Respond to and manage security incidents and emergencies, ensuring appropriate escalation and documentation.
• Operational coverage: Manage shift drops and site coverage.
• Client relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, responding promptly to service requests.
