Job summary

MSS Security seeks Security Officers who hold or are eligible for a Positive Vetting clearance to join our Melbourne team. We have opportunities at a high-profile data centre, with sponsorship available for candidates who do not yet hold a clearance.

Onsite parking is available once clearance is obtained and the successful candidate is placed at the site. The role involves patrols, access control, CCTV monitoring, and providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be an Australian Citizen.
• Hold a valid Victorian Security Licence.
• Baseline/NV1/NV2/PV Clearance or willing to obtain.
• 24/7 availability to work a rotating roster.
• Valid Victorian Drivers Licence.
• First Aid & CPR certificates or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Conduct foot patrols and secure the building.
• Monitor and control access to the premises, authorising entry.
• Oversee CCTV systems to detect and respond to security threats.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist visitors with inquiries.
• Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents or emergencies.

About the role

MSS Security is seeking Security Officers who hold or are eligible for a Positing Vetting Clearance to join our team in Melbourne. We have positions available at a high-profile data centre, with sponsorship available for candidates who do not yet hold a clearance.

Onsite parking is available once clearance is obtained and the successful candidate is placed at the new site, with the exception of City-based sites.

• Employees holding a Positive Vetting Clearance will receive a competitive allowance of up to $20,000 per year.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Conducting foot patrols, ensuring people are safe and the building is secure.
• Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring only authorised individuals enter.
• Oversee CCTV systems to detect and respond to security threats.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist visitors with inquiries.
• Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents or emergencies.

Requirements:

• Must be an Australian Citizen.
• Hold a current Baseline, NV1, NV2 or PV Clearance (or willing to obtain).
• Valid Victorian Security Licence.
• Valid Victorian Drivers Licence.
• Valid First Aid & CPR Certificates (or willing to obtain).
• 24/7 Availability to work a rotating roster.
• Ability to walk up to 15,000 steps per shift as part of routine patrols.
• Must be able to supply background information including (but not limited to) referees, past addresses, overseas travel, education etc.
