Job summary

Royal Automobile Club of Western Australia invites an experienced Lending Lead to shape capability within the Personal Finance team. You will drive policy governance, balance credit assessment with member outcomes, and act as the 2IC to the Personal Finance Manager.

A hands-on leader comfortable with escalations and process improvements is essential. You will oversee lending operations, develop others, and ensure compliant, efficient, member-focused practices while maintaining a strong emphasis

Qualifications

Proven experience assessing personal loan applications and understanding responsible lending obligations.
Experience writing, maintaining or improving lending policies and procedures.
Ability to lead, coach and influence without direct reports.
Strong attention to detail and sound decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

Act as SME for document verification and lending scenarios.
Own and continuously improve lending policies and procedures; ensure they are current and well documented.
Assist in assessing and approving personal loan applications and preparing loan documentation.
Ensure adherence to NCCP, AML/CTF and KYC obligations.
Support governance reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
Act as 2IC to the Personal Finance Manager and lead the team when required.
Coach, support and uplift team capability through 1:1s and quality assessments.
