Job summary

Calvary St Martin de Porres Retirement Community in Waratah is seeking a part-time Leisure & Lifestyle Officer to design, develop and implement engaging programs for residents. You will support autonomy and independence by creating a fun and relaxing environment, enhancing quality of life within a compassionate care setting.

The role requires relevant qualifications, First Aid, and experience with frail individuals.

Qualifications

• Leisure & Lifestyle Certificate Level IV or other relevant qualification.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Experience in planning, implementation and evaluation of activities for frail people with cognitive impairment and disabilities.
• Ability to document assessments, care plans and progress notes.
• Sensitivity to and understanding of the needs and interests of residents.
• Strong communication skills.
• Current NSW Drivers Licence.
• A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation.
