Future You is seeking a Legal Counsel / Senior Legal Counsel to join its Sydney team. The role focuses on high-profile infrastructure projects across transport, energy, resources and construction, with opportunities to advise on major transactions and contractual strategy.

You will review, draft and negotiate contracts, develop precedent commercial agreements, and provide guidance on dispute resolution, while mentoring and contributing to continued growth of the legal function.

Qualifications

• Ideally a minimum of 5 years PQE gained from either a renowned private practice or In-house organisation.
• Experience in advising on complex transactions, with exposure to project delivery issues.
• In-depth understanding of construction law and contracts.
• Experience with commercial policies and identifying key risks within contracts.
• Proven ability to manage competing deadlines and maintain a proactive, commercial approach to projects and workload.

Legal Counsel / Senior Legal Counsel

High Profile Projects, Sydney

Our client a leading commercial business operating across the Infrastructure, energy, resources, transport, defence and building and construction sectors is seeking a legal counsel to join it’s growing legal team.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing strategic commercial and legal advice on major infrastructure projects across a number of sectors including transport,renewables and resources
• Reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts
• Drafting precedent suites of commercial agreements relevant to the infrastructure market
• Providing advice on contractual dispute resolution procedures

Key Requirements

• Ideally a minimum of 5 years PQE gained either from a renowned private practice or In-house organisation
• Experience in advising on complex transactions, with exposure to project delivery issues

• Experience with commercial policies and identifying key risks within contracts
