Job summary

NAB is seeking a dedicated Legal Counsel to join the Markets Legal team in Brisbane to provide expert legal advice on financial markets matters.

You will work with NAB Markets, draft and negotiate documentation, and contribute to a collaborative, customer-focused culture. This role offers growth opportunities and exposure to complex regulatory issues in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years+ post admission experience in private, public and/or in-house practice.
• Current Australian Practising Certificate.
• Experience advising a global financial markets business with a strong regulatory focus is highly desirable.
• Strong drafting skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to deliver clear, pragmatic advice balancing risk and customer outcomes.

• Experience in a role providing legal advice to a global financial markets business with a strong regulatory focus is highly desirable.
• Strong drafting skills including exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to deliver, clear, pragmatic advice which balances risk and customer and business outcomes.
• To be self-motivated, collaborative, and the ability juggle competing demands in a very busy and energised environment.
