Job summary

NAB is seeking a capable Legal Counsel to join the Markets Legal team in Australia, providing legal advice to NAB Group on financial markets matters. The role offers a path to deepen expertise in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 3–4+ years post admission experience in private, public or in-house practice.
• Current Australian Practising Certificate.
• Strong drafting skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to deliver clear, pragmatic advice balancing risk and outcomes.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, able to juggle competing demands in a busy environment.

We are looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You'll need:

• 3-4 years+ post admission experience in private, public and/or in-house legal practice and a current Australian Practising Certificate.
• Experience in a role providing legal advice to a global financial markets business with a strong regulatory focus is highly desirable.
• Strong drafting skills including exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to deliver, clear, pragmatic advice which balances risk and customer and business outcomes.
• To be self-motivated, collaborative, and the ability juggle competing demands in a very busy and energised environment.
