Job summary

NAB is seeking a Legal Counsel to join the Markets Legal team in Australia. You will provide expert legal guidance on financial markets transactions and regulatory matters, negotiating client documentation and supporting NAB Markets while building strong internal relationships.

Ideal candidates will have 3–4+ years post-admission experience, a current Australian Practising Certificate, and a track record in global financial markets with a regulatory focus.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years+ post admission experience in private, public and/or in-house legal practice.
• Current Australian Practising Certificate.
• Experience advising a global financial markets business with a strong regulatory focus is highly desirable.
• Strong drafting skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to deliver clear, pragmatic advice balancing risk with customer and business outcomes.
• Self-motivated, collaborative and able to juggle competing demands in a busy environment.

• Strong drafting skills including exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to deliver, clear, pragmatic advice which balances risk and customer and business outcomes.
