Orange Anglican Grammar School is seeking a Learning Support Officer (LSO) to play a vital role within the Learning Enrichment team, delivering holistic support to students with diverse learning needs across both Junior and Senior School environments. Working full-time under the direction of the Leader of Learning Enrichment, the LSO works flexibly across classrooms to facilitate evidence-based literacy and numeracy interventions, support curriculum adjustments, and maintain active documentation for NCCD compliance. Beyond academic support, the role includes working with teachers to provide social, emotional, and behavioural scaffolding to students, maintaining an inclusive and productive learning environment. The LSO utilises co-regulation, de-escalation, and grounding strategies to assist students experiencing emotional dysregulation or anxiety, helping them remain engaged without disrupting classroom focus. Additionally, the role strengthens school-wide operations by providing key feedback to teaching staff on student progress, assisting with playground supervision, and supporting whole-school events such as sports carnivals and Chapel services.
As a member of the OAGS staff, you will support the mission and objectives of the School and the Anglican Schools Corporation. This includes abiding by the Staff Code of Conduct, participating in staff devotions, and prioritising the safety and well-being of our community.
