Job summary

Yarrabing Secondary College seeks Education Support Staff to assist in the initial development of school processes for a foundation secondary school, growing one year level each year from Year 7 in 2024 to Year 12 in 2029.

The role supports evidence-based teaching practices in brand-new facilities, with collaboration among staff, teachers and leaders. The position emphasises wellbeing, inclusion and learning outcomes in a fast-growing school community.

Qualifications

• Interest in working with young people and ability to relate positively and respectfully.
• Demonstrated knowledge of inclusion policies and ability to implement them.
• Proficiency in literacy and numeracy.
• Experience in Education Support or related qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher with implementing educational programs as per IEP/SSG.
• Support students individually or in small groups.
• Assist and support instructional program delivery.
• Facilitate communication between students and teachers as needed.
• Observe students and report learning and wellbeing observations.
• Prepare notes of observations and learning outcomes.
