Job summary

Youth Off The Streets in Macquarie Fields is seeking a dedicated Education Support professional to provide targeted learning assistance to students across classroom, small group and 1:1 settings at our independent high school. You will work closely with teachers, families and external agencies to boost engagement and learning outcomes, using IT tools and child-safe practices.

A Certificate III in Education Support (or equivalent) is preferred, with a compassionate approach and strong

Qualifications

• Support students with additional learning needs in classroom, small group and one-to-one settings.
• Collaborate with teachers, families and external agencies to support student learning and engagement.
• Understand child safe organisation principles, including mandatory child protection responsibilities.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
• A warm, approachable manner and ability to build positive relationships with students.
• Confidence using IT systems and digital tools.
• A relevant tertiary qualification, such as Certificate III (or above) in Education Support and/or English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D), or equivalent relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted learning support across classroom, small group and one-to-one settings.
• Support student engagement, participation and learning outcomes.
• Work closely with teaching staff to monitor progress and adapt strategies as needed.
