Mernda Central College invites applications for Learning Specialist roles to join our dedicated teaching staff. Learning Specialists will remain in the classroom while mentoring colleagues, modelling high-quality practice and leading professional learning across the school.

We seek experts in high-impact teaching, data-informed decision making and collaborative leadership to improve achievement, engagement and wellbeing for students in Prep to Year 12, across four sub-schools and community

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to model exemplary teaching.
• Expertise in high-impact teaching strategies and data-informed decision making.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills for engaging with staff, students and families.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate high-level teaching practice including demonstration lessons.
• Model exemplary classroom practice and mentor teachers to improve performance.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop effective school improvement strategies.
• Lead and model professional learning structures and peer collaboration.
• Provide evidence-based feedback and support to teaching staff.
• Support data-informed planning to enhance student achievement and wellbeing.
