Job summary

Tarneit Rise Primary School invites applications for a Learning Specialist: Instructional Leader in Teaching and Learning. This role blends classroom practice with instructional leadership to strengthen literacy and numeracy, use data to drive improvement, and lead MTSS across the school.

You will model evidence-based teaching, mentor colleagues, and collaborate with the Teaching and Learning team to advance the School Strategic Plan.

• Demonstrated expert knowledge of the curriculum and literacy/numeracy instruction.
• Ability to model high‑impact teaching strategies and assess impact on learning growth.
• Ability to monitor and assess student learning with data‑informed feedback.

Responsibilities

• Champion pedagogical excellence through Tier 1–3 practices.
• Provide professional learning and coaching in an identified curriculum area.
• Analyze school‑wide cohort data to evaluate instructional effectiveness.
• Lead MTSS and whole‑school improvement aligned with the School Strategic Plan.
