Job summary

St Joseph's College Hunters Hill invites applications for a teacher assistant to work in our supportive department, assisting Stage 4 students with diverse learning needs. The role focuses on enabling access to the curriculum within a Catholic school ethos.

Responsibilities include developing, implementing and reviewing Individual Learning Plans, conducting regular diagnostic assessments, and collaborating with teachers and support staff.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs.
• Knowledge of NCCD and CSNSW data handling is desirable.
• Experience applying NESA Exam Provisions for examinations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and review Individual Learning Plans.
• Conduct diagnostic and standardised assessments to track progress.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure inclusive practices.
• Maintain communication with parents and external specialists.
• Provide in-class, small group and 1:1 support for Stage 4 students.
