The position is an inclusive education teaching appointment, with an initial Middle Leader placement and allowances. It offers a pathway to a long-term leadership track with continued opportunities subject to performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination of learning enhancement programs that support students with diverse learning needs.
• Supervise teachers and school officers engaged in the program throughout the school.
• Induct new teachers and school officers within the program (or supervise induction by another experienced teacher).
• Monitor program outcomes for students and address areas of concern through appropriate interventions.
• Coordinate the work of staff engaged in delivering the designated program in light of the values and ethos of the school.
• Regularly communicate with stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of the program.
• Organise program activities including resources, transport, operations, staff, etc.
• Keep abreast of best practice in the program area through ongoing professional reading and research, and provide for the professional learning of staff in line with these developments.
• Supervise the quality of staff within the Program through collegial support, advice, observation and facilitation of reflective response to issues.
• Contribute to the leadership of the school through active participation in staff and middle leadership meetings.
• Manage financial and material resources within the area of responsibility including budgeting and expenditure of allocated funds.
