Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education Office (BCE) invites applications for a Diverse Learning Leader at Star of the Sea School, Merrimac. The role leads inclusive education practices within a primary setting and works with leaders, teachers, and families to support learners with diverse needs.

The appointment is permanent as a full-time, fixed-term position with a DLL allowance and a clear pathway to ongoing school improvement and student outcomes within a Catholic education framework on the Gold Coast.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of inclusive education practices across the school.
• Develop and evaluate systems, data processes, and supports that enhance outcomes for students with diverse learning needs.
• Analyse student performance and wellbeing data to identify priorities and inform targeted interventions.
• Facilitate coaching, mentoring, and professional learning to build staff capability in inclusive education.
• Lead collaboration within school support teams to ensure equitable and effective student support.
• Foster positive partnerships with families, caregivers, and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with BCE policies and legislative obligations, including the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and Disability Standards for Education (DSE).
