Job summary

Thompson Bus Services is seeking an experienced Learning & Development Specialist to lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of learning and development initiatives across our organisation.

Based at our Brendale Depot and supporting our Joyner and Coolum operations, this role develops workforce capability across drivers, workshop employees, customer service, administration, operations and leadership teams.

Qualifications

• TAE qualification and relevant L&D experience.
• Experience designing and delivering learning programs across multiple areas.
• Proven ability to develop engaging training materials and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver engaging learning programs across operational areas.
• Develop training pathways and competency frameworks for staff.
• Coordinate inductions and onboarding programs.
• Identify training needs through manager consultations.
• Create learning resources, assessments, and eLearning content.
• Manage and improve the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Monitor training compliance and keep competencies current.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback and outcomes.
• Coach leaders to develop teams and improve performance.
