Job summary

Bayside Council is seeking a dedicated Learn to Swim instructor to plan and conduct water safety and swimming lessons for diverse programs in Bayside. The role involves supporting the Aquatic Programs team, adapting sessions to student needs, maintaining equipment and organizing resources for each session.

Responsibilities include preparing regular progress reports for the Aquatic Programs Supervisor and ensuring safety and compliance during all activities.

Qualifications

• Current Austswim Certificate for Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety or equivalent.
• Current CPR/Resuscitation Certificate.
• Current Working with Children Check (NSW).

Responsibilities

• Support the Aquatic Programs team and assist in advising on matters relating to swimming instruction/swim coaching and other safety matters.
• Implement programs according to the needs of the students to ensure adequate planning and availability of resources.
• Maintain equipment, cleanliness of the storage area and setting up and putting away of all equipment as required.
• Prepare and provide regular reports and updates on participants to the Aquatic Programs Supervisor.
