Job summary

Ymcansw is seeking a passionate Learn to Swim Instructor to join our aquatic team. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons for all ages while promoting water safety and confidence in the pool.

Ideal applicants hold a recognised swimming teaching qualification, current First Aid/CPR, and a Working with Children Check. You’ll thrive in a friendly, collaborative environment with opportunities for ongoing training and career growth.

Qualifications

• A current and recognised swimming teaching qualification.
• A valid First Aid and CPR certification.
• A Working with Children Check.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, positive, and encouraging teaching style.
• The ability to work flexibly across mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• A genuine passion for aquatics and community wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, safe, and progressive swimming lessons to students of all ages and skill levels.
• Assess student progress and adapt lesson plans to meet individual learning needs.
• Create a fun, encouraging, and inclusive environment where every student feels motivated to succeed.
• Maintain the highest standards of water safety and supervision at all times.
• Communicate with students, parents, and guardians regarding progress and goals.
• Uphold aquatic facility policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
