Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Production Efficiency Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes and boost output on the production floor. The role focuses on driving productivity improvements, reducing costs, and upholding quality and safety standards on site in Queenstown.

You will partner with production teams to analyze workflows, apply lean methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen and Value Stream Mapping, and troubleshoot issues affecting efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in production engineering or process improvement.
• Proven experience applying lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production lines to identify inefficiencies and improvement areas.
• Implement lean techniques such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.
• Develop and document SOPs to ensure consistency.
• Conduct time studies and work sampling to optimize man-machine interactions.
• Collaborate with supervisors and operators to sustain process changes.
• Monitor production metrics and report efficiency gains and cost savings.
