Job summary

Gold Fields is seeking an Underground Electrical Supervisor at Granny Smith to lead maintenance and installation of electrical infrastructure on fixed and mobile underground equipment. You will supervise the electrical team and contractors, ensuring adherence to safety and performance targets.

The role operates on an 8/6 roster and offers FIFO from Perth or DIDO from the Goldfields region, with a focus on safety, value creation and team leadership.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience within a mining environment.
• WA A-Grade Electrical Licence with HV switching ticket.
• Proven ability to lead and build teams.
• Short Term Planning experience desirable.
• SAP knowledge is advantageous.
• Valid Driver’s licence held.
• S26 certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities of the electrical team, including contractors, to achieve targets cost-effectively.
• Minimise production disruption by ensuring ready access to critical parts, equipment and service providers.
• Provide ongoing leadership and mentoring for the Electrical team.
• Demonstrate full compliance with OHS and Environmental Management System standards; participate in initiatives, meetings, investigations and training.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Underground Electrical Supervisor at Granny Smith, you will be responsible for: Planning and supervising high quality maintenance and installation of electrical infrastructure on a wide variety of fixed and mobile equipment Underground as used in the mining operations.

This role is offered on an 8 days on 6 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth or Drive in Drive out from the Goldfields region.

About the role

• Lead the day-to-day activities of the electrical team inclusive of contractors on a cost-effective manner, assuring awareness of performance targets, access to the necessary tools to achieve these and that their activities are aligned within company targets
• Ensure minimal disruption to production through ready access to critical parts, equipment, and service providers
• Provide ongoing leaderships and mentoring for the Electrical team
• Demonstrate full compliance with the OHS and Environmental Management System standards by assisting with the implementation and participating in initiatives, regular meetings, investigations, and training.

Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership, performance development experience within a mining environment
• WA A-Grade Electrical License plus HV switching ticket and experience in this field is essential.
• Proven ability to build and lead teams
• Short Term Planning Experience would be desirable.
• SAP knowledge would be highly regarded
• Valid Driver’s license
• S26 certification required.
