Job summary

HMG Hardchrome in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Fitter/Machinist to take a permanent Machine Shop Leading Hand role in the Production Department (Large Line). This hands-on leader will work on the tools, lead by example, support the team, and ensure safe, efficient and high‑quality production outcomes in a busy workshop.

HMG Hardchrome is seeking applications from experienced, trade-qualified Fitter/Machinists for a permanent Machine Shop Leading Hand role within our Production Department (Large Line).

This opportunity is suited to a hands‑on leader who enjoys working on the tools, leading by example, supporting team performance, and delivering safe, efficient, and high‑quality production outcomes in a busy workshop environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this permanent, full‑time role will see you provide day‑to‑day leadership and operational support across the Large Line within our Production Department.

You will coordinate workflow on the floor, actively support production staff, uphold safety standards, and ensure production targets and quality requirements are consistently achieved.
