Job summary

The Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council is seeking a Leading Hand Intermittent Works to supervise day-to-day operations across road, drainage, vegetation and transport maintenance works. The role is full-time with a 38-hour week and a 9-day fortnight arrangement, offering an hourly rate of $37.52–$41.45 plus 12% super.

You will plan, coordinate and monitor daily activities, lead by example with a strong focus on safety and quality, and ensure delivery of critical community infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil construction or maintenance and leadership.
• Ability to organise daily works and supervise staff.
• Licences and/or tickets relevant to civil works; plant operation experience is valued.

Responsibilities

• Supervise crews delivering road, drainage, vegetation and transport maintenance.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor daily activities to ensure safe, efficient and cost-effective service delivery.
