Job summary

The Department of Education Victoria is seeking an experienced Leading Teacher for the Shepparton Flexible Learning Centre Campus. You will lead teaching practice, drive literacy and numeracy improvements, and coordinate strategies across the school with accountability for student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to lead school priorities, particularly literacy and numeracy.
• Ability to plan and implement high-impact teaching strategies and evaluate their impact on learning.
• Ability to monitor and assess student learning using data to drive school improvement.
• Exemplary interpersonal and leadership skills to collaborate with students, staff, parents and the community.
• Model Department values and support colleagues in professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage whole-school improvement initiatives aligned with the school strategic plan.
• Coordinate and support teaching staff in curriculum planning and delivery.
• Provide professional development and coaching to staff to improve practice.
• Oversee staff performance and development within priorities of the school.
• Develop and implement school assessment and reporting policies.
