• Demonstrated expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage the implementation of school priorities, and the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills across the curriculum.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and implement high impact teaching strategies and evaluate their impact on student learning growth.
• Demonstrated ability to monitor and assess student learning using data to drive improvement.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills for collaboration with students, staff, parents and the wider community.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the implementation of whole-school improvement initiatives aligned with the school plan.
• Oversee curriculum planning and delivery across key learning areas.
• Provide professional development and development plans for teaching staff within priorities.
• Lead staff performance reviews and development discussions.
• Deliver demonstration lessons to model effective practice.
• Lead the development of assessment and reporting policies and practices.
• Oversee school welfare, discipline policies and student wellbeing initiatives.
• Contribute to curriculum development in major learning areas and cross-curricular work.
• Support school council initiatives and policy proposals.
• Develop and manage the school code of conduct.
