Job summary

Rocky Bay invites applications for a Lead Support Worker at Lockridge. This part-time, permanent role (71 hours per fortnight) is female applicants only and involves shift leadership, hands-on support and complex care tasks in a supported accommodation home.

You will guide staff, coach new team members and uphold policies while supporting customers with disabilities, including PEG feeding, catheter care and medication administration.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with complex disabilities or healthcare needs.
• Senior/mentor/shift-leading experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Commitment to person-centred services that promote choice and independence.
• Certificate III or IV in relevant field desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift, providing direction and guidance to staff.
• Coach, mentor and induct new and existing team members.
• Promote a positive, collaborative team culture and provide constructive feedback.
• Lead by example in Active Support, care documentation and conduct.
• Assist customers with complex care needs and participate in community activities.
